We had a great Christmas holiday this year. We headed to Virginia Beach on Christmas Eve. Traffic on the way down wasn't bad at all. We arrived at Grandma Belle's house around noon. Later that afternoon, we headed over to Mark's cousin's house for the Hadley Christmas Eve party. The food was good and it was nice to see his relatives. Abigail played with a few of her third cousins and a couple dogs. She had a blast. The gift exchange is always fun. I ended up with a set of my favorite Bath & Body products. Abigail got a new book and a Disney Princess bean bag game. After a little while, we headed back to Belle's house and called it a night. Abigail slept very well considering she was not in her crib. She actually slept in Mark's crib! Thanks Grandma Belle for getting that out. On Christmas morning, Mark, Belle, John (Belle's boyfriend), and I exchanged gifts. We got some great stuff! Thank you Grandma Belle and John! After the gift exchange, we relaxed the day away. Abigail ended up taking a 3 hour nap! What a blessing! As the day grew to an end, we kept hearing weather reports of the upcoming snow. After some discussion, we decided to stay and leave in the morning. Bad choice! By the time we left Virginia Beach, there was already 6 inches of snow on the ground. VDOT hadn't touched the roads at all. The normal 2 hour trip home took us 4 hours. Driving 25-35 miles an hour was not fun. Thankfully, Grandma Belle got Abigail a portable dvd player for Christmas. She watched Toy Story 2 and 3 on the way home and was a very good traveler! We are truly grateful that God kept us safe. Enjoy the pictures and video. Until next time...God is good! All the time!
