Christmas 2010
We had a great Christmas holiday this year. We headed to Virginia Beach on Christmas Eve. Traffic on the way down wasn't bad at all. We arrived at Grandma Belle's house around noon. Later that afternoon, we headed over to Mark's cousin's house for the Hadley Christmas Eve party. The food was good and it was nice to see his relatives. Abigail played with a few of her third cousins and a couple dogs. She had a blast. The gift exchange is always fun. I ended up with a set of my favorite Bath & Body products. Abigail got a new book and a Disney Princess bean bag game. After a little while, we headed back to Belle's house and called it a night. Abigail slept very well considering she was not in her crib. She actually slept in Mark's crib! Thanks Grandma Belle for getting that out. On Christmas morning, Mark, Belle, John (Belle's boyfriend), and I exchanged gifts. We got some great stuff! Thank you Grandma Belle and John! After the gift exchange, we relaxed the day away. Abigail ended up taking a 3 hour nap! What a blessing! As the day grew to an end, we kept hearing weather reports of the upcoming snow. After some discussion, we decided to stay and leave in the morning. Bad choice! By the time we left Virginia Beach, there was already 6 inches of snow on the ground. VDOT hadn't touched the roads at all. The normal 2 hour trip home took us 4 hours. Driving 25-35 miles an hour was not fun. Thankfully, Grandma Belle got Abigail a portable dvd player for Christmas. She watched Toy Story 2 and 3 on the way home and was a very good traveler! We are truly grateful that God kept us safe. Enjoy the pictures and video. Until next time...God is good! All the time!

It has been a year
It has been exactly one year since Abigail took her first steps. Wow! She is growing up so fast. It amazes me how much she is changing. We are definitely blessed with a great daughter! Thank you God!

Crown
I got my crown put on my tooth this morning. I was in and out of the dentist office in 20 minutes. I'm sore but all seems ok. Please pray that the pain subsides quickly and that I don't mess up any more teeth!

Christmas Cantata
We had our Christmas Cantata at church this evening. It was great! All the hours of practice were well worth it. There were a few people saved and many people made some important decisions. Thank you God for your Amazing Grace!

A Christmas package
We got a Christmas package from my parents today. What a blessing! The best part was they said we could open before Christmas! Mark got an atlas and some really cool flashlights. I got some beautiful jewelry and a great stainless steel frying pan. Abigail got an Elmo coloring book, a Toy Story Woody toy, a Christmas puppy, socks, tights and money to get some clothes. Thank you Nonny and Papa! We love you!

Happy Thanksgiving
I am truly thankful for a wonderful family. God has blessed us with such a loving and caring family. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far. It is a time for me to reflect on all of God's blessings and also to spend quality time with family. We got up early this morning and headed to Elizabeth City to have Thanksgiving dinner with my mom's family. The food was delicious. Thank you God for my family! I only took a few pictures today. I wish we could have stayed longer but I have to work in the morning and Abigail didn't get a nap. Well now that Abigail has gone down for the night, I am not far behind. Until next time...God is good! All the time!!

Dentist
I broke my upper back tooth last Friday. After two hours in the dentist office this morning, it feels like someone hit me with a sledge hammer! Please pray that the pain medicine kicks in and that my mouth feels better soon.

Abigail's 2 year check-up
Abigail went for her 2 year check-up this afternoon. She weighs 27 lbs 5 oz (slightly above the average mark) and is 35 1/2 inches long (90%). She gained 2 pound 8 ounces and grew 2 inches in 6 months! The pediatrician said she's doing great and doesn't have to go back until she is three years old. She did have some fluid in her ears and we are going to try some new things for her allergies. Poor thing got 2 shots today. She cried for awhile but got better on the drive home. We thank God for our healthy, beautiful, happy daughter. Please keep us in your prayers. Until next time...God is good! All the time!

Abigail is 2 years old!
We are truly blessed with a wonderful daughter. Everyday we thank God for Abigail. And to think, the doctors said there was no baby at the beginning of the pregnancy and the scary emergency c-section delivery. God has been so good to us. Today, Abigail is 2 years old! Time sure does fly! Just think, this was her 2 years ago... 1 year ago... and today... Enjoy the pictures and video from tonight.
